Hey everybody ! This is the first journal I'm putting out here on DA. I'm still getting the hang for how everything works here on the Deviant Art site so as I figure more about this site I'll be trying to make my page alittle more prettier and fun to look at.
First off I'd like to say thanks to all you new and old Doodle friends that have added me to your Deviant Watch. Most of the stuff you see here are finished colored pieces that I've already posted on the myspace Doodle A Day page. Yeah I actually do a drawing a day Monday thur Friday. I first post my doodles on the myspace page in some of their more preliminary stages when they're in blue and from there I'll throw some color on them that day or come to them later and repost them again on myspace and here on DA. Just a side note I spell like shit so I apologize in advance for the spelling and grammar mistakes that my spell check misses. (thanx ! )
So why a doodle a day ? Well Doodle A Day was created for many reasons mainly as a creative outlet to just draw. I also needed new art for my portfolio cause the show I work on here at Nickelodeon isn't the most prettiest thing to show to potential employers. The other goal for Doodle A Day was to promote my stuff to as many people as possible. I've been stuck in animation cubical world for a long time and I wanted to get some more exposure. I mean I know I can draw and I figured it was a fine time I showed others and get my stuff out there and hopefully create a fan base of peps who like my work.. Third I wanted to put together lots of products based off my work like shirts, prints, and other nick knacks, and books which I have a two volume set of all the doodles I've done over the passed year from when I first started all this. Eventually I'll be joining other online community sites much like myspace to pimp my stuff in the eyes of the masses but for now myspace and Deviant Art has been a good start. It's not all about selling stuff. I love reading everybodys comments, which can become addictive to my ego. Thanks for the cool words from you guys and gals out there, that always keep me going for sure !
